概览
In the previous installment, the supercomputer "Skynet" failed in its attempt to prevent the birth of human resistance leader John Connor. Thirteen years later, before "Judgment Day" arrives, "Skynet" dispatches a more advanced cyborg, the T-1000 (played by Robert Patrick), from the year 2029 back to Los Angeles to assassinate the grown John. Simultaneously, John also sends back the Terminator T-800 (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) to protect his younger self. At this time, Sarah Connor (played by Linda Hamilton) is institutionalized in a mental asylum due to her erratic behavior, while John lives with his foster parents, exhibiting rebellious tendencies. The T-800 finds them and, during their escape from the T-1000's pursuit, earns their trust. To alter the course of future history and save humanity's fate, Sarah, John, and the T-800 Model 101 find "Skynet's" creator, Miles Dyson (played by Joe Morton), and persuade him to destroy all data related to "Skynet." At this moment, the police and the T-1000 arrive simultaneously, and they become embroiled in a multi-party conflict.
